Since January 2007 it has been law to ensure your Ltd company’s registration number, place of registration and registered office address are on your website to comply with the Companies Act. The information must also be in clear and legible characters.
If your trading name is different from that of the registered name, you must also specify this clearly somewhere on your website that is easy to find, as a contact form or a PO Box is insufficient these days.
If your company belongs to a trading profession, you must also include details of the professional trade association, including your trade registration number.
VAT registered companies must display their VAT number regardless of whether they are providing ecommerce online sales.
